The Observatory on Health System Sustainabilty is based at the Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Macquarie University. A/Professor Yvonne Zurynski, Australia’s first associate professor of health system sustainability, works on research that makes a difference in the real world (such as the impact of chronic diseases on patients and the health system).
Dr Trent Yeend, Senior Research Fellow, works within the Partnership Centre to facilitate data access for investigators and to conduct complex analyses of national health data sets.
Dr K-lynn Smith, Research Fellow and Observatory Coordinator, conducts research on issues relating to health system sustainability and facilitates the coordination of the Observatory, including disseminating research findings and engaging with investigators, stakeholders and funders.
The Observatory is also supported by research assistants who are skilled in conducting literature reviews and supporting the research, evaluation and dissemination functions of this multi-investigator Partnership Centre.
